1. Who We Are
Rue du Paradis LLC ("BUSINESS") is a made-to-measure intimate and athletic wear brand registered in both the Netherlands and the State of New York (United States of America). Every garment we sell is crafted individually to the customer's personal measurements and specifications after the order is placed.
These Terms and Conditions govern all purchases made through our website www.rueduparadislingerie.com ("the Website").
By placing an order on the Website, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
2. Made-to-Measure — Important Notice
Every garment sold by BUSINESS is made to your individual measurements and personal specifications. This means:
- Your garment does not exist until you place your order and submit your measurements.
- Every piece is cut and sewn exclusively for you, based on the measurements you provide.
- Your garment cannot be resold to another customer.
As a result, and in accordance with Article 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU (the Consumer Rights Directive), the standard 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply to your purchase, as your garment is clearly personalised and made to your individual specifications.
By completing your purchase, you explicitly acknowledge and agree that:
- You waive your right of withdrawal under Article 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU.
- Your order cannot be cancelled or refunded after 24 hours of purchase.
- No store credit will be issued for cancelled orders after the 24-hour window.
This waiver applies from the moment the 24-hour cancellation window closes.
2A. Right of Withdrawal — Withdrawal Button
In compliance with EU Directive 2023/2673, a withdrawal button is displayed on our Website. Please note: because your garment is made to your individual measurements and personal specifications, the right of withdrawal does not apply to your purchase under Article 16(c) of EU Directive 2011/83/EU. The withdrawal button will clearly explain this exemption when activated.
If you believe your order qualifies for withdrawal, please contact us at contact@rueduparadislingerie.com within 24 hours of purchase.
3. Ordering Process
Step 1 — Place your order
Complete your purchase on the Website. You will receive an order confirmation by email.
Step 2 — Submit your measurements
After purchase, you will receive a link to your personal measurement form. You have 30 days from the date of purchase to submit your measurements. If measurements are not submitted within 30 days, we are under no obligation to complete your order and no refund will be issued.
Step 3 — Production
Once your measurements are received, we will begin crafting your garment. Production times vary depending on current workload. We will keep you informed of your order status by email.
Step 4 — Delivery
Your garment will be shipped to the address provided at checkout. Shipping times depend on your location and the shipping method selected.
Step 5 — Your fitting session
Within 30 days of receiving your garment, you may schedule your complimentary video fitting session with BUSINESS. Past this 30-day window, no further fitting sessions will be offered, whether complimentary or paid.
If alterations are required following your fitting session, your altered garment will be returned to you and you will have a further 30 days from receipt of the altered garment to schedule a follow-up complimentary fitting session.
A maximum of 3 complimentary fitting sessions are included with each order. Once this maximum has been reached, no further fitting sessions will be offered, whether complimentary or paid.
4. Cancellation and Refund Policy
4.1 Cancellation window
You may cancel your order within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. To cancel, please contact us immediately at contact@rueduparadislingerie.com with your order number.
After 24 hours, your order enters production preparation and cannot be cancelled or refunded.
4.2 No refund after 24 hours
After the 24-hour cancellation window has closed:
- No refunds will be issued.
- No store credits will be issued.
- Orders cannot be exchanged for different designs or sizes.
This policy applies because your garment is made exclusively to your personal specifications and cannot be resold.
4.3 Defective or incorrect garments
Notwithstanding the above, and in accordance with EU Directive 2019/771 on the sale of goods, if your garment is:
- Defective or faulty upon receipt
- Not as described on the Website
- Damaged during shipping
You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund within two years of purchase. Please contact us at contact@rueduparadislingerie.com within a reasonable time of discovering the defect.
5. Fitting Session
5.1 What is the fitting session?
Every purchase includes one complimentary post-purchase fitting session with our seamstress. This is a 30-minute video call during which we:
- Assess how the garment fits your body
- Note any adjustments needed
- Agree on any alterations with you
5.2 How to book
A fitting session booking link is included in:
- Your order confirmation email
- Your shipping confirmation email
- Your Customer Portal
Sessions must be scheduled for a date that falls within 30 days of the date you received your garment.
5.3 After the fitting session
Following the fitting session, we will provide you with written notes summarising:
- Whether you are satisfied with the fit, or
- The alterations we recommend
You will be asked to review, comment on and validate these notes before any alterations are made.
5.4 Alteration window
Alteration requests are honoured only when:
- The fitting session was scheduled within 30 days of receipt of the garment, AND
- The alteration request follows from the fitting session notes validated by you
We cannot honour alteration requests or refund requests made after the relevant 30-day fitting window has closed. No fitting sessions will be offered past the 30-day window following receipt of the final altered garment, whether complimentary or paid. We encourage you to schedule your fitting session as soon as possible after receiving your garment.
